Apart from the very end when his parents take him home, which i find very funny, the powers Trelane shows, the things he can do, and the way they have a way of looking upon the humans as lower life is very similar. also the way there is a scene in a coart room is similar too, so i was wondering, is Trelane a young Q, is he a similar species? what does everyone think?

I've wondered this myself. I think it's very possible. And I think that I read somewhere that he actually was a Q. I think it was in one of Shatner's Trek Books.

well if he was then that would be interesting because it would have meant that the Q have for quite a while been interested in the humans growth.

He certanly challenged them like the Q we know from TNG enjoyed. life on the line challenges which were only fun to him.

You make an interesting point. Trelane does display tendencies like Q. And are very similar in behavior. It does make me wonder.

Although Trelane was very Q like it was revealed at the end of the show that he had parents . In Voyager we find Q reproduces for the first time . So Trelane either has to be Q's son or another higher form of life

I'm hoping that the Okuda's put out an updated edition of the Star Trek Encyclopedia with info about Enterprise, and the other movies that aren't included in the last edition that came out in 1999.

Paramount and the O'kudas announced at the 2006 Vegas Con that 1999 was the last edition
